Archaeoceratops oshimai

Archaeoceratops was discovered during the Sino-Japanese Silk Road Dinosaur Expedition (1992 - 93). The dinosaur is lightly built and is primitive among neoceratopsian dinosaurs. This taxon is characterized by the presence of three to four premaxillary teeth, differing tooth shape between the upper and lower jaws, and a short frill. This dinosaur was capable of walking bipedally and quadrupedally.
