Fukuisaurus tetoriensis

This herbivorous dinosaur, belonging to Iguanodontia, was discovered by the dinosaur excavation project in Katsuyama, Fukui Prefecture. This species was described based on relatively well-preserved skull material in 2003. Although the tooth shape resembles that of a Mongolian iguanodontian Altirhinus, the absence of pleurokinesis in Fukuisaurus is unique.
