Monolophosaurus jiangi

Monolophosaurus was found as a nearly complete skeleton in 1984. The dinosaur is approximately 6 m long and is considered to be an allosaurid, characterized by the presence of a well-developed crest on the skull. The crest is hollowed and connected with the nasal cavities. This indicates that the crest might have been used as sexual display as well as vocalization.
