Ornithomimus edmontonicus Saurischia Theropoda

Skeleton of Ornithomimus
Ornithomimus belongs to ornithomimosauria, so-called ostrich-dinosaurs. They possess long hind-limb and are considered as a cursorial animal. Ornithomimus is edentulous and various hypotheses about their feeding habit were proposed. Vertical ridges inside their beak led some paleontologists to think Ornithomimus were filter feeder, like modern flamingos. Gastroliths found from many ornithomimosaurians, on the other hand, indicate their herbivorous diet.
