Pinacosaurus grangeri Ornithischia Ankylosauria

Skeleton of Pinacosaurus
Pinacosaurus is a herbivorous, medium-sized ankylosaurid, and is relatively common from the Upper Cretaceous sediments of the Gobi Basin of China and Mongolia. This dinosaur has body armor and a tail club, used for protection from predators. Multiple skeletons of young individuals have been discovered together, which may indicate that this dinosaur formed a herd, and it provides information on ontogenetic variation.
