Notice

• Please refrain from eating, drinking, and smoking inside the museum.
• Flash photography and the use of tripods are strictly prohibited inside the museum.
• No pet allowed.(except service dog)

Admission Fees

• Senior refers to those who over 70.
• Child refers to those who under 6.
• Group discount is available for groups of more than 30.
• Extra fee might be charged for special exhibition.
• Annual pass is valid for a year from the date of purchase.
• A credit card can be used for paying the admission fee.
  
• Admission to Field Station is not included.

Access

by train

• Get off at JR Fukui Station, then board Echizen Railway Eiheiji Katsuyama Line, bound for Katsuyama (approximately 1 hour.)
• Get off at Katsuyama Station, you can catch a taxi there (approximately 10 minutes to Museum.)
• There is also a community bus running from Katsuyama Station to Museum.
• Travel time from various regions (not including the transfer time.)

    Hokuriku Shinkansen, or Tokaido Shinkansen, JR Hokuriku Line Express, Echizen Railway, Community bus --- approximately 4 and half hours
  • From Osaka /

    JR Hokuriku Line Express, Echizen Railway, Community bus --- approximately 3 hours

by car

• From Fukui-kita JCT･IC (Hokuriku Expressway) via Chubu Jukan Expressway to Katsuyama --- approx. 40 min.
• From Maruoka IC (Hokuriku Expressway) to Katsuyama --- approx. 40 min.
• From Shirotori JCT･IC (Tokai-Hokuriku Expressway) via Chubu Jukan Expressway through Ono to Katsuyama --- approx. 90 min.
• Parking for 1300 cars and 10 motor coaches are available.
