Presentation Guidelines

For Oral Presentations

Each oral presentation will be assigned to a session according to its focus, and held in either the Lecture Hall or Multipurpose Hall in the Center of Academic Exchange, Fukui Prefectural University. Talks and slides for presentations have to be in English. Each presentation will be allotted 20 minutes (15 minutes for a talk and 5 minutes for questions). Translations into Japanese/English will not be offered for the 15 minute talk; however, they will be available for questions. After your former presenter leaves, please come to the stage and prepare for your presentation while a chairperson for your session reads your name and presentation title aloud. Microphones and laser pointers will be available.
We will have a Windows PC (with PowerPoint 2013) and Macintosh 10.9 (with PowerPoint 2011 and Keynote 6.1) ready for presentations. Keynote does not have compatibility with other versions. Therefore, if you would like to use a version of Keynote other than 6.1, or presentation software other than PowerPoint or Keynote, please bring your own computer for your presentation. If you would like to use our computers, please bring your slides at the reception either at Hotel Fujita or Center of Academic Exchange, Fukui Prefectural University so that we can upload them to our computers. You may also send them to the Executive Committee for International Symposium on Asian Dinosaurs by emails or file-transfer services beforehand. If you bring your own, please notify us of it at the reception either at Hotel Fujita or Center of Academic Exchange, Fukui Prefectural University.
On 21st and 22nd, we will have a Windows PC (with PowerPoint 2013) and Macintosh 10.9 (with PowerPoint 2011 and Keynote 6.1) in the Speaker Ready Room. You may check your slides and prepare for your presentation with them. Because we have a limited number of computers, please be considerate to others and refrain from occupying them for long time.

For Poster Presentations

Posters have to be smaller than A0 (841 × 1189 mm), portrait orientation, and in English. Please bring your poster to the Poster Session Room in the Student Hall, Fukui Prefectural University by noon, March 22nd. Administrative assistants in the room will help you set your poster up. Please stay with your poster during the core time planned to be 15:10 pm to 16:40 pm, March 22nd. Also, please note that the Speaker Ready Room is available only for oral presenters.
